Memorable Quotes

Though we can never leave life without experiencing some measure of loss, grief, and pain, misery is optional--as is happiness.

Beverly Campbell

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me."

Finally...a new post. I have overwhelmed myself again but I'm back on Project Probation and making headway! Summer is here and, at last, I'm finished with work. I had two days training on how to use the new web provider for school. We had an excellent trainer but now I have so much to do. I just put it out of my mind until the end of August.

Look what I won!

Sarah at House of Krom had a give away. I could choose between this placemat and a wonky house placemat. It was a tough choice but.....our first house had orange kitchen counters and apple green bathroom counters. I love those counters to this day so I had to choose this one. It is on top of my mother-in-law's treadle sewing machine that I keep in my living room. Thank you, Sarah!

I've been busy with the quilt challenge from Old Red Barn Co. I quilted the top on the Gammill yesterday.

I just need to bind it tonight and I'll be finished. You'll have to come back to see the backing. I didn't have any money to buy backing fabic so I created my own. I'm please with the way it turned out. I think this quilt should entitled "WILD!"
