A few weeks ago some of my grandkids went to Cosplay in Seattle. They've been before but I think they feel they have to make better costumes each year.
The ones on the ends are mine. The one in the middle is a good friend. They helped their mom make their outfits.
Mom took them and brought little brother and sister. Little sister is the one in the blue. Evidently, she was a big hit.
Little brother was a big hit, too, but he wouldn't wear his costume. He only agreed to the hair cut because it was just like his dad's....except for the arrow. All reports said they had a lot of fun.
I made another bag for a grandchild. This bag was promised if she did her written piano work. This is another Penny Sturges pattern from Quilts Illustrated....Taylor's Trio.
I decided I needed a new spring bag so....Penny Sturges, again. This time the Mini Bow-Tucks Bag. I love her patterns. They are very easy to follow.

CUTE costumes. I'm not familiar with that Cosplay you mentioned. Can you tell us more about it?
You are the bestest grandma in the whole world! Too bad you can't be MY grandma. lol :) Piano lessons, bags - what more could a grandchild want?
And the sun came out!?!?!? WOW! that's such a rarity there ...

Cute bags, and cute grandkids, too. Even though you can't really see what they look like. LOL!
Oh, and cosplay is the practice of dressing up like characters from anime (Japanese animated movies), manga (Japanese comic books), and video games.
Great job on the costumes, I do love that spring bag more everytime I see it! Did they shave his head just for Cosplay?
Heehee, that's me~ =)
