Memorable Quotes

Though we can never leave life without experiencing some measure of loss, grief, and pain, misery is optional--as is happiness.

Beverly Campbell

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me."

Since the weather here has been frightful(?) school has been closed or had a two hour delay all week. I've finished sewing thirteen pillow cases for the grandkids (don't read this, Grandkids!) Carrie has been here sewing today and she is going to help me put up the picture of my tree quilt.

OK...here it goes!!!!!

Success after three tries!

This is a king size quilt. I added the green log border and the larger black border to get it to size (110x108). It is a fun quilt to make but does take some time. You can find it for sale on Etsy and at Bear Creek Rustic Furnishings. I have fabrics that a friend and I picked up on the Western Washington Shop Hop 2006 to make my own tree quilt. We visited forty shops in four days and went from the Oregon border almost to the Canadian border and then out on the Olympic Peninsula. We had so much fun but haven't gone for the last two years.
